LIVES IN Brooklyn
WORKS IN My apartment, 30 Weeks
OCCUPATION designer, film maker and entrepreneur
ON THE CLOCK
Wake up around 7, play with my cat, stretch, drink water, etc. and leave for the city. Get coffee and spend my day at the 30 Weeks space which is a combination of intimate sessions with other founders/mentors and working on my own start up called the light phone. Come home and hang out with my loves again and relax and work on something fun which often means collaging, playing with the projector, reading books… anything really.
YOUR ART WEEKEND
I strangely hardly ever go out and see art. I get really inspired by book stores, Strand is obviously great and I like Spoonbill in Williamsburg too. I also enjoy very long walks with my cameras.
William Onyeabor -- Who Is William Onyeabor?
I don’t watch movies but some things I like are The Blues Accordin’ to Lightning Hopkins, Koyaanisqatsi, Objectified & Urbanized.
Chris Johanson, William Eggleston, James Turell, Brian Eno, Mike Mills, Andy Dixon… I feel like I could probably go on for a very long time but that covers a large spectrum of it. I’ve been very inspired by photography lately.
Hard question! I guess I’d say The Pleasures of Finding Things Out by Richard Feynman. Some other authors I truly admire are Malcom Gladwell, David Foster Wallace, George Saunders, Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus to name a few.
Bunnah Cafe on Flushing Ave… really cool place, amazing Ethiopian.
I bought a new macbook, it's insane!
Chipotle mayo on egg sandwiches.
GRADE IN ART CLASS
They give grades?
Shenandoah or Vermont…definitely camping.
