LIVES IN  (East) Williamsburg
WORKS IN  Bushwick
OCCUPATION  Artist

ON THE CLOCK
I start the day with rope jumping followed by a cold shower (except during winter...). Then I usually meet my students in the city (I teach French) and I go to my studio afterwards, or vice-versa.

YOUR ART WEEKEND
On the weekend, there is always something art-related lined up -- events, festivals, museums, galleries or just working on my projects.

ALBUM
Is This Desire? by PJ Harvey

FILM
The Lady Vanishes (Hitchcock) and film noir in general. Recently I enjoyed watching Jimmy P. by Arnaud Desplechin.

ARTIST
Nick Cave -- Louise Bourgeois -- Annette Messager -- Huma Bhabha -- Simon Evans and many more.

BOOK
Murakami, Toni Morrison, Zadie Smith, Carole Martinez, Marguerite Duras

EATS
My own interpretation of bibimbap: rice, seaweed, kabocha, greens, tofu, cheese and kimchi. I could eat this everyday, well actually I almost do.

LATEST PURCHASE
A new body for my SLR camera.

GUILTY PLEASURE
Murder She Wrote (the TV series), embarrassing pleasure more than guilty.

GRADE IN ART CLASS
In junior high school our art teacher was a priest so I remember him more than my grades, which i believe were average.

36 HOURS
I rarely leave NY for the weekend but a year ago my husband and I went along the Delaware River in upstate NY. There was a lot of current but we still managed to swim. I remember us clinging to rocks as much as we could.
