Description
Description
Trompe L'oeil still life loosly inspired by Satoshi Kon's anime film 'Paprika', which in turn inspired Christopher Nolan's 'Inception'. Rather than illustrate the film, I allowed a dream like trance to orchestrate the arrangement. For example, I once set out on a long walk home with the passing thought that I would find an item to complete the set-up on my way. Sure enough, I turned a corner and picked up two cat-shaped book-ends for a dollar from a sidewalk sale, one of which became a central item of the piece. The couple was moving to Bermuda. Go figure.
