Kerry Dunn

This was the last painting in a series of paintings around the idea of 'sleep'. I thought about this painting for months... so when I finally came around to starting the painting, it happened quickly because I had been painting it in my mind. The model is an artist friend of mine and came from a photo shoot we did together... it was the light coming in in the early morning, the white duvet and the sleeping model in natural pose that made this scene a moment in time.
