Description
Description
Original ink and collage on Arches watercolor paper. In this series, scraps of salvaged, vintage wallpapers and a retrospective of black and white images, documents and other ephemera tell a story as they are layered and adhered onto paper. The torn papers suggest blocks of crumbling monuments, architecture, or abstracted landscapes. Birds are the protagonists of the works as they forage what is left behind by mankind. Themes touched on include conceptual play with DaDa references, alongside a serious message about mortality, the cycle of life, and the fragility of nature. Framed in a white-wash maple frame with UV plexi.
