Jessica Matier attended Parsons School of Design for illustration. Years later, after raising a family she departed from traditional watercolor and collage practices in pursuit of a mixed media approach to abstract painting. The images she creates are gestural emotive landscapes and forms intended to create a hyperconscious experience.
