November 5 - December 5, 2020

The identifiers spanning a hyphenated American identity often present a false dichotomy. We're not equal parts American and equal parts something else, based on where we live and where our ancestors came from. In -American, we're asking artists to explore their double consciousnesses, each containing multitudes that aren't so easily parsed.

Exhibiting artists: Annesta Le, Audrey Rodriguez, Christopher Herrera, Francisco Donoso, Fanny Allié, Guno Park, Hula, Humza Deas, ICY & SOT, Jess X. Snow, Lujan Perez, Marcelo Daldoce, Rohini Sen, Tsultrim Tenzin, Uzo Njoku.

Our opening reception will also feature a live performance by Metropolitan Opera Orchestra musicians, Barbara Jöstlein Currie, Anne Marie Scharer, Javier Gándara, and Erik Ralske (Principal Horn).
