A Little Light Peeking Through, 2016
45" H x 55" W
Part of a series of "Under the El" paintings that explore the abstract compositions created by the light peeking through the infrastructure of elevated subway tracks. This one was based on some reference I took of The Brown Line in Chicago's River North District. There is a little bit of impasto work that breaks the surface texture on the edges of some of the girders. Gallery wrapped with black, archival taped edges.
