This is a portrait of fellow painter, Kerra Taylor. We exchanged photo reference and painted each other. I requested hands and textiles. She provided a dynamic pose, one that I thoroughly enjoyed painting. I focused on something I love, the intricacy in the tones of the skin. Light, clothing, props, reflections all play a part in what we see at that moment in time- a chronicle of tone, color, and texture.
