Angel Embrace inspired by Virgil the poet of reason and wisdom in an embrace. Virgil acts as Dante’s guide and teaches him the importance of life. Part of a series of works inspired by the Master's and the stylistic period of Romanticism. Angel Embrace II could be bought as a diptych along with Angel Embrace I. Lanino is inspired by moments from her own life and elements from historical paintings that resonate with society’s current and future timelines. She uses rhythm as a visual language and her movements are mirrored in the work’s gestural qualities beyond the borders of the canvas.
