This oil painting, "Las Jaras: The Arrows" is included in my Lotería painting series and is inspired by the image pictured on the Mexican Lotería game card, 'Las Jaras.' The sitter is my former art student, Julien Habib Dean from Senegal. His hat with the arrow symbols textile print was from Africa.
