Created as part of the BP Portrait Travel Award, this work was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London and Aberdeen Art Gallery in Scotland in 2020. The portrait captures an older volunteer the artist met in Amritsar, India working quietly in dedicated service at the Golden Temple - peeling onions used to prepare 100,000 free meals for the day.
