Painted in acrylic on 1.4mm mixed media artboard. This is a intensely detailed painting capturing the light and texture of the bird. The flat colour of the background works as a contrast to the detail and emphasises the silhouette of the bird. There is approximately 1cm white border around the image making it easy to frame.
