Spencer Simmons

As spring comes here, the lady banks in my mothers garden come in a flurry. The weather is perfect, and simply the act of being there, witnessing this plant’s bloom come and go brings me pace and purpose. I loved the idea of tucking a mirror behind the plant and letting the vines take it while I paint my reflection. My dog Otis would come over and sleep in the shade. He would move around and kick and dream. It will forever be a beautiful moment in my life.
